This is what our national publicity airs:

I just came across an INSIDE EDITION telecast and I can't help but hold down my puke when watching this show. It's a terrible image for the American public and what we publicize in this country. American is all about the pamper of multi-million and billionaire celebrities that we "SO DESIRE TO BE." GAG.

Before they went to commercial, here's what they were worried about:

"TWITTER OF THE DAY!: Which celebrity just wrote freshly on their twitter that they are 'eating yogurt with tons and tons of toppings! LOL!' The answer when we return!"

Really? Wow is this sad. This thread should be dedicated to ALL the insanely embarrassing stories that our national media wastes their time on.

..which should make for interesting debate once it goes further. I can't help but wince in pain from some of the things I see being talked about over the air. It really baffles me which later turns into anger of the stupidity that American's are really portraying and the standard we set out for ourselves.

Television is good for rant!

I'm going to go ahead and give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you're joking. But for some strange reason, I feel like I'm going to regret it.

I forget who the other 2 in the running were, but I think it was Celine Dion or something. :x Some nights I wake up at 3:00 in the morning in a cold sweat only because I couldn't believe Celine Dion would have many toppings on her yogurt. It's really touching.

This is why I hate anything Hollywood, most of the people in this country worship the ground these people walk on. I sick and tired of the idea that if you don't have perfectly chiseled abs you're not good enough. I think Las Vegas should loan their "Sin City" nickname to Hollywood.

I can't understand how the Real Housewives Of OC/New York/New Jersey/DC, etc is popular. I made the huge mistake of sitting down with my wife to watch one of these episodes once. Wow, I'd really love to send that network a bill for the hour of my life they stole from me.

Inside edition = comedy/ironic stories and entertainment

case in point a muder case happened by a general somewhere... but it wasnt the victim they showcased... it was that the general was a cross dresser... that story has gotten 4 days of pub... due to the pictures he had of himself...
:o :o :o :o

...or the atrocity called Basketball Wives on VH1 or MTV or whichever one it is. And I just heard soemone today takling about one called Football Wives (must be the newest installment of the same idea or something... whatever!!)

It's popular because they get these stupid people to act like asses on TV for money... the equivalent of people watching from your couch. People just LOVE to watch the crazy folk be crazy and judge them and talk about the shows and whatever, so they get ratings.

I saw that Basketball one once on a Sunday morning when there was NOTHING else on... omg, if that shit airs in other nations, I'm thoroughly embarrassed for the rest of the women of this country. The way those snotty bitches act... utterly disgusting. And that's the view of "American women", shows like that, and these Real Housewives things, and that damn Jersey shore... omg.

not completely useless, and it can be a GREAT thing for marketing if used correctly--which is rare, I must admit. That said, it's also the most abused piece of technology out there.

Things are great, Linda, thanks for asking. It was sucking there for awhile because we've had my house up for sale since May and virtually nobody was coming to look at it. And Linda wasn't having any success in finding a job since she got laid off in June. Plus, nothing was moving forward with the new house since we signed the contracts.

But in the last few weeks, things have really turned around. We found a better home builder with a better house for $80,000 cheaper. We found a 100-foot wide lot in a better part of the new neighborhood. They poured the foundation yesterday and the framing starts Friday. We sold my existing house (although after a $29,000 price reduction) and we close on that next week. The new owners will let us stay in the house RENT FREE until the new house is finished end of January. With the proceeds from this house, I'll be able to pay off every bill that I have including my cars and still put 10% down on the new house. Linda has a very good job prospect which the interview went really well.

I tried not to look too negatively on the problems we were experiencing because in the grand scheme of things, we have it pretty good. We have our health and each other. While looking for a job, Linda has been volunteering with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer charity and she's seen and heard stories that makes our "problems" that we had look very minor in comparison. So I'm very grateful for the way things are turning out and really feel for the people that are less fortunate than us. Hope this economy turns around soon so other people's luck turns for the better as well.

Talk about an absolute waste of time. ESPN has turned into LebronTV, and it is sickening. Everything this overrated NON Championship motherfucker does is magnified. "Look at Lebron throw powder into the air!" "Here comes Lebron in his Escalade!" Good grief and go to Hell ESPN. I am so happy they lost.

Indeed!!

I'm glad to hear that things are going well for you and the Mrs.!

I certainly have a wish list, like better money at the job, cheaper insurance (but at least I finally HAVE insurance!) and the usual list... but all in all, things are pretty good. :D :D
