Phenomenal Rare Springsteen Clip Online
12th November 2010

Bruce Springsteen has posted a fantastic clip from one of the discs from his imminent Darkness On The Edge Of Town reissue.

The new box set is released on Monday and to help promote it a little Bruce has posted a few clips from the DVDs on his YouTube channel.

Amongst the handful of clips is this phenomenal performance of ‘Because The Night’ recorded on 12 August 1978 in Houston and taken from disc 3 of the Darkness box set DVDs.

Too bad this thread will go unnoticed in this forum. All they care about is poppy bubble gum rock and AP.

The big questions are 1) Will the 100 dollar price for this release be worth it? and 2) will it debut at number 1? It's a rock collector's dream release.

1) Some box sets go for more, some a little less, but thats a fair average price for a box set, especially of an artist of Springsteen's caliber and catalog.
2.) I think it will debut at number 1 in its category. Given the time of year of release it will be under the Christmas tree as a gift to Springsteen fans, as well as general rock music collectors.

It's for sure that this DVD comes out at the absolute perfect gift-giving time of year to nearly assure #1 status. Despite the price tag, I bet it will fly off the shelves.

And for those who are too cheap to give the Springsteen fan in their life a truly fantastic present :) , there's always the $13.99, 21-track "The Promise" CD...I wonder why nobody speaks of this release as well?

I guess we know what you'll want under your Christmas tree this year Deano. For me, I really wanted the new 2500 copy limited release Jimmy Page photo autobiography. But there is no way I could justify the $688 even if it is a collector's item.
