How about "An Evening With Herbie Herbert"? Mr Big can open, Europe can follow and Journey can close. Hell, throw in his other act, Roxette, while they're in Scandinavian Europe. Herbie sure managed some incredibly successful bands.

All I know is if it does end up to be Journey, Foreigner, Heart.....
Journey must open....then Heart(IMHO should close, but the powers that be would find a way to slight them), then Foreigner.
I don't wanna hear from the recently enlightened that Journey should headline....blah, blah, blah. Ann wipes the floor with Arnel, and Pineda couldn't refill Kelly's glass on a Carnival Cruise.....
anything less than Journey opening with a short set(they don't deserve a long set) would be ludicrous....

Journey won't play ball unless they are the headliner. Schon would pack up his toys, kick Pineda in the head and have a good ol' adolescent fit, then go home.
And Cain's meltdown would make Chernobyl look like warm Popsicles.

I think Mr. Big would be a great opener.
If these rumors of Van Halen doing a new album and tour come to fruition, how about VH, Journey and Mr. Big?

it doesn't matter who SHOULD close from a singing standpoint, it's about who is the draw for tickets. That would be Journey--by far....so they close. If that triple bill happens, I would imagine Foreigner opening, Heart middle and Journey to close.
That said, I can't speak for other parts of the country, but Night Ranger wasn't selling many tickets judging by the lack of crowd reaction they got (and you are talking a large venue that was close to being sold out), so I doubt Journey needs to be on a triple bill at this point in time unless they just want to be part of one to save Arnel's voice.

I just fail to accept that Journey is that viable anymore....diehards, season ticket owners, and plokkers....that's it. If that can sell a venue - somebody Hitchslap me....

I'll boil it down to three words..... Don't Stop Believin'. I've seen plenty of shows by the band (both good and bad) since the reformation in 1998, and NOTHING compares to the reception that DSB got on the last tour. Absolutely electric. It revitalized the legend of the band.
You don't sell 20,000 tickets without a reason--and I promise you that NR was not doing the ticket-selling judging by the couldn't-care-less reception their very good set got.

No holds barred, nothing held back? I'd pay quite a bit. After reading his online interviews, I'd love to see him do that in person. It would be like a one man comedy skit about every member that was in Journey.
how about VH, Journey and Mr. Big?

If this actually came to fruition, I would wait until Van Halen walked on stage before I entered the venue. I don't see this type of bill ever happening though.
If Halen had an opening act at all, you would have to go with a band a little bit harder than these. As far as the Journey "Opening", personally I cannot stand
that 4'2" Pineda. Hard to get past a kamikaze posing as a rockstar. I recently seen Foreignor on HDTV concert series this past weekend and I was actually
blown away. I never thought in a 100 years that they could find someone would could do the songs justice. Heart would be the middle act in my opinion.

VH doesn't need to and will not share the bill with anyone except a true cut and dried "opener" (i.e., a band no one knows about).

I'm sure your beer intake before you got to those last two hours would help

I just wish Europe would play with anyone. I'd sit through anything to see them.

I would love to see that... Good mix to material, but Mr. Big and Europe would likely be religated to short sets or just the greatest hits. That said, for a couple bands that have been out of the US spotlight for a while, it would give them some great exposure.

Nope! Believe it or not, that's not it!

For me it's the music

The rest is a bonus

Mr Big would be plenty hard enough to open for Van Halen, Journey - not. I would much rather see just the 2, MB opening for VH, that would be a kickass bill.

See, THAT'S why I want them live. I want to hear John Norum's LIVE guitar. I could listen to that all day! But the thing that would suck about 3 on a bill, is their set list would never be long enough! I'd rather see them with one other band or alone. But I know that's almost unheard of these days.

Hey look at this way, if there are 3 acts on the bill, Journey's set would be short at least

Ya, but so would MB's, and I'm a greedy biatch when it comes to my music.

Yeah Deb that's how I feel about that rumored Heart, Foreigner and Journey bill, I'd rather see Heart and Foreigner for longer, but with 3 acts on one bill, everyone's sets get cut shorter!

Me too, Deb!!
I'd rather the smaller more intimate venue then to have to listen to stuff I don't particularly care about!!

The thing that was strange though was when we saw Heart at the HOB's last year, their set was the same as it was with Journey. I don't think they do anymore whether they are alone or in a trio! Wonder if Ann's voice can't take it or what?

I just meant when we saw them, it was right after the Journey tour. They did some solo tours. But kept the same exact set list, which surprised me! I know they're great!! I LOVE them!!!

I think the thing with HOB gigs, at least at the one here, there's a time limit because they close at a certain time and want everyone OUT!

Especially with the one here being on Disney property, lol.
