Howard had felt guilty all day long. No matter
how much he tried to forget about it, he couldn't.
The guilt and sense of betrayal was overwhelming.

But every once in a while he'd hear that small inner
voice trying to reassure him, "Howard. Don't worry
about it. You aren't the first doctor to sleep with
one of your patients and you won't be the last."

But invariably the other voice would bring him back
to reality,

"Howard. You're a veterinarian!"

Memory Course

An elderly couple were walking home one evening from the local junior college and encountered another elderly couple along the way, who were long time friends. The couple asked what they had been up to, to which they replied, they had been to the junior college taking a memory enhancement course. The other couple asked if they thought it helped. The couple raved on and on about how much they could remember from years past, memories they had forgotten long ago. They went on to say how it had changed their lives and recommended the course to their friends. They replied that it sounded like an excellent idea, and asked for the name of the course. The man stood there scratching his head, looked at his wife and back to the couple, scratched his head again and said "What's the name of the flower with the long stem and thorns?" The other couple replied "A Rose?" He said yeah that's it! And turned to his wife and said "Rose, what's the name of that memory course we're taking at the junior college?"
