There are a good number of oversized personal avatars currently.

This is your official notice to reduce their size - or next week they will mysteriously start to vanish.

Recommended size is under 200x200. Some here are twice or three times that size.

Don't be jealous of the size of others avatars Andrew... You just weren't weren't blessed with a big one. It's not the size of your avatar that counts, but how you use it!

I can't say I really care for some of them... I think everyone should be required to use a personalized or differently-decorated version of Dean's "Weird Science" toad. I dig mass confusion.
