I also found it interesting that the Eagles did not sell out but almost half their shows...

U2 would have been top except for his back surgery, I bet. Maybe not, since this was the second leg of their tour anyway, and the main part was 2009.

They averaged over 60,000 per show. They must have been playing massive stadiums.

Those Football stadiums in Europe usually hold over 100,000. To put it in comparison, Journey's amphitheater tour of 70 shows in 2008 pulled in just under 700,000 people.
It's obvious that Euros don't like to rock to AC/DC unless they're crawling all over each other on some soccer pitch in the rain.

I'm just doing a comparison for the number of shows vs number of tickets sold. This was more to show that I agreed with your anaylsis that AC/DC had to have played some large venues. Now, we can tell that AC/DC played nothing larger than Arenas here in the states, so this supports the conclusion that most of their ticket sales were from massive stadium shows in Europe.

With the Euro and British pound being stronger than the dollar, this also contributed to the large amount of cash they racked in compared to acts that mostly stick to touring the states ot only play arenas in Europe.

Yeah, to average 60k with what you mentioned is pretty awesome.
