Just to let you fine folks know Bon Jovi is doing Larry King right now. I am sure they replay it over throughout the night, but it is pretty interesting, especially when you have a terrible interviewer like Suspenders asking the questions. Jon seems like a really good guy.

Am I allowed to watch too? I think he is doing a lot of good things. He has an arrogance about him though that can be a bit much. But I still enjoy them. They are still out there , making music, filling arenas, and making money. When many are not. I saw the Goo Goo Dolls this weekend. A radio station sponsored it, so the station had a local covers band open, that included one of the local DJ's who is their guitarist. You should have seen the number 20-somethings there to see the GGD's. And you should have SEEN the reaction when the band did "Livin on a Prayer" Unreal to me how many young people sing along and know that music. They went nuts! They did the same thing for Don't Stop Believin too though!

They have been doing several new songs this year! I saw them in the spring and now. Their album is called "Something for the rest of us" They released the song "Home" a couple of months ago or more, and are making a video for a song called "Notbroken" which I love, and will be releasing that soon. There are a few others I really like though. "Sweetest Lie" they opened with, and I like that one a lot too. They are still able to get radio play and get VH1 to play their videos. I think they and Bon Jovi have managed to appeal to the younger generations in their own way.

Arrogance or extreme confidence? Sounds like a well spoken CEO. Gave props to Bruce which was nice. Loved his honesty.

I DO think it's arrogance When we saw Bon Jovi in Tampa this year, after their opener, he said "American Idol?? American Idol? You don't need an American Idol. I am your American Idol" All we could think of was wow, like yourself much Jon! And he just has a way of lingering at the camera a little extra on stage, smiling at the camera that screams "I love myself.... I am hot in my 40's and I know it and I love myself" Just the tone of his voice screams arrogance to me It takes away from his looks for me. He is A SHORT ITALIAN, FROM NEW JERSEY ..... it's arrogance!!! But your right, he has plenty of reason and right to be arrogant.

I have been to one Penn state football game each of the last 2 years and they play each song to a thunderous sing-along.

Larry King is SUCH an oaf. My God...

It's almost a cliche to say so, but Larry King is simply a bad interviewer. Softball question after softball question...and you can tell he does absolutely no research.

The one thing that was interesting to me is that Jon kind of skated by the Alec Jon Such issue, stating that he was fed up with the industry. I seem to recall that Alec was essentially fired...and believe that is what Jon recounted in "Behind The Music."

In any event, JBJ is cool in my book. And if Rolling Stone magazine had once called my band a "bad fourth-generation metal, smudgy Xerox of Quiet Riot," I'd likely have a little chip on my shoulder and a touch of arrogance, too. Good on him.

Outside of a song here or there, haven't enjoyed the last few records as much as their older material, but they've had quite the career.

I watched it too and yes, definitely a great career! And I definitely give him that.......he's a very smart, hardworking business man. And being a VERY goodlooking dude, sure hasn't hurt it either. Believe me I was a fan from day 1, way back in '84 before ANY of my friends even knew who they were.....long before they made it big with Slippery. I'm still a fan, just nowhere near as much of one as I used to be. Whether it's arrogance or extreme confidence either way, like Lynn, I find it a turn off. I've got tons of hours of footage and music from over the years and there is a marked difference even in his stage presence. IMO, there is no humblness or touch of humility there anymore. He prances around now like he's all that and a bag of chips. I'll let you guess which performance I prefer more.........

If Jon was 25, I would call it arrogance, but at his age it's confidence. I see it every day. Over the last decade, I've worked with people at Warner, Sony, Nickelodeon/MTV, the Bubble Factory, E! Entertainment and a lot more. I have dealt with people like this all the time. They're not all assholes (though some are), just people who have worked hard and are proud of their accomplishments.
