Charlotte Clayton's evening was interrupted by a crashing sound in the front yard of her Central Avenue home. To her surprise not only did she find a car but a bloodied jogger.
"I saw the pedestrian first and it just took a minute to realize what had happened. It wasn't until I stepped out on the porch, in my peripheral vision, that I noticed there was something wrong and I saw the car," Clayton explained.
Officials have not said what led to this crash but Clayton says she was told the driver was distracted by texting.
"You can't drive and text, you can't drive and read the newspaper, put on makeup, you have to pay attention to what you're doing," said Clayton.
