As of tomorrow, I'll have no vibrato!!!

Ok, not that I have one now, but it'll be physically impossible after tomorrow. :( I'm having my uvula removed tomorrow, which means the idea of me taking vocal lessons and learning to use vibrato, are now out of reach. On the plus side, I'll be relaxing at the house on drugs for a week!

Will you still be able to rock the little man in the boat? Is the old lady on board with all of this?

At first I thought he said vulva! :)

Seriuosly, I don't think vibrato would be impossible but you'd have to do it another way.

So, how does your uvula actually go bad? Why the need to remove it?

Could be to help with sleep apnea. Maybe I'm going crazy, but I vaguely remember previous sleep apnea discussions on the board.

People were talking about it, yes. My mom has it but I didn't know it was so common.

It can obstruct the airway during sleep, that's the most common reason why.

Sorry to hear Jim! Hope you have a short and easy recovery!

  I can always count on you smart-asses for a pick-me-up. :D And to answer the question, I keep getting sinus infections this year, and my uvula keeps getting swollen and it actually makes me choke and gag. Worst feeling in the WORLD! :x I can't wait until this thing is gone.
