What is a great thing to serve on New Year's Eve?
I'm thinking lobster with a homemade mushroom soup and salad....

I'm planning on raspberries, chocolate truffles, and a man I'm rather fond of in a hot tub.

Staying home because of all the crazies on the road. So my wife is grilling up some steaks and we'll be chilling inside watching a movie or two. On Sat & Sun, we'll be packing and more packing for the move into the new house end of Jan.

Yup....that's OUR move....I used to work at a Nightclub; COULD NOT "book off" for New Year's....saw too much drunkennes, year after year...
after experiencing that, I'm KINDA SCARED to drive a long distance for New Year's.

So my wife is grilling up some steaks and we'll be chilling inside watching a movie or two.

Excellent plan....we're going to a nearby Restaurant to have a nice dinner and listen to Jazz Music...we'll be home WAAAY before midnight!

On Sat & Sun, we'll be packing and more packing for the move into the new house end of Jan.

YEOWITCH! :x

I'll be spending the evening with family and the menu will consist mostly of appetizers...lots and lots and lots of appetizers-we usually don't have a formal meal but more of an all evening grazing feast. I will enjoy every bit of it-especially the meat because as of the next day I'm swearing off meat except for occasional wild meat (sorry, Bobby!)

Is it for health or moral reasons? I'm starting a new health plan myself, have had some scary stuff lately and want to really get off sugar and wheat.

A little of both but mostly health reasons. I have two friends that are vegitarians and they are helping me through this-they both swear I'll feel better and won't miss the meat at all after awhile. I'm doing a juice fast to detox all next week....should be interesting-so NO ONE PISS ME OFF!!!

Detoxes are bullshit, and can actually be pretty dangerous when prolonged (eg. nutritional deficiency).

I'm spending my new years eve on La Réunion :)
