Saw it the other day, gore fest? seriously this had to be the most gory film to date, it really took me by suprise.

I must admit I think the director is one sick puppy, he's done all sorts of garbage in the past.

For your viewing pleasure, go to youtube type in...

Piranha 3D (2010) - "Lake Victoria Death Scene"

&

Piranha 3D (2010) - "Lake Victoria Death Scene: Part 2"

Be warned!

LOL, just watched them. Yes, campy and totally over the top -- pretty funny. This is totally different than the film I was commenting on earlier because it's not mood-heavy. I think the first torture film I ever saw that I really had a hard time watching was Hellraiser I. It was the first time I'd seen a film like that, and it was not too comfortable. Still, it's nothing compared to a lot of the crap released these days.

I've been noticing a knock-off by The Asylum called "Megapiranha" in some of the DVD sale bins. That's what Asylum specializes in -- anyone seen it? Here's the trailer:

If you saw it today, you'd be even more shocked because it has a bona fide story, unlike much of the crap that gets produced today. I can't believe a recent indie horror film actually used the stupid ol' "It was all a dream!" gimmick. Talk about the zillionth time that's been used.

The Descent, OTOH, had a really cool story. It's sequel (which shouldn't have been made) dumbed everything down a bit.

... and The Terminators, and Universal Soldiers, etc.... how the hell they don't get sued into oblivion for trademark infringement is beyond me. Coolest thing is, even they make jokes on their own website about their films being lousy, so they have to have a cult following for sure. I love The Asylum!

Here's their trailer for one of their latest, 2010: Moby Dick

Might be fun!

That was well done...I couldn't get through the sequel, started to watch and started to feel like I was getting gypped...

Another good scary movie, that I finally saw "30 Days of Night"...didn't know it was co-produced by Sam Raimi..."Drag me to Hell" was done very well too.

Cool Rip, yeah it's pretty cheesy isn't it?. Way over the top! lol!. Hellraiser 1 still freaks a lot of people out, I was speaking to work colleague yesterday and like yourself and I, he was freaked back when Hellraiser was new, it was pretty full on.
