Went to bed last night and was woken up by thunder snow! Ever heard of it? I haven't. I grew up in Oregon and Canada and saw a lot of snow, but last night, we got 4 or 5 inches here (and counting!), and had one of the worst thunderstorms I've seen. FREAKY AS HELL!!!  It was a very cool sight though. I googled it, and it's very rare. They say it usually only happens in late winter/early spring, and is most likely to happen around the coast where warm ocean temps mix with the incoming snow.

We've had a very strange winter here in S.C. this year. We got several inches of snow on Christmas for the first white Christmas since 1887! It's all that damn global warming. :D There have been records broken all over the world this winter. I think it's because we're heading into the next man-made Ice age. Damn SUV's!!! :P

I've seen it a few times here in Wisconsin. Usually in February and March. 8) It's very cool when it happens except it usually means it's snowing like a bitch outside.
