I think he's doing a great job. I think I was expecting a trainwreck what with all the drinking and rehab crap in the media, but he's a lot more entertaining, funny and down to earth than I thought he would be.....and of course he's quite knowledgable on vocals. And damn, the man looks fine for 63, must be the Cherokee in him, great skin.

Last night he finished off one of the kid's performance of Dream On, as she told him she couldn't do the end part.....and he's still got some impressive pipes. :o

When she saw him at the Frist, she thought he acted strange. Anyone can change their mind.

I usually don't watch AI, but might catch it if I can just to see his judging! Seems to be a good group of judges this time, and not the snotty attitude like from that Simon ass

He is doing a great job. I was impressed with him last night when he went over and gave the young lady in the wheelchair a hug and kiss and talked to her. One of them needs to be more like Simon though. I thought it would be him but he is nice to everyone.

Touching to be sure, but they really need to pull the reins on that tear-jerker stuff. Fantasia parading her kid on stage in season 2?(3?)....

It is a singing competition. If the show were able to ride on that alone they wouldn't need the sad stories.....

This what keeps Aerosmith consistently near the top of the ladder for American Rock bands. All that drama last year and now look, Tyler is suddenly everyone's favorite rock star again. Sort of like Bret Michaels last year.
Pure Marketing Genius.

I'm getting used to the reality of Tyler as AI judge now...I wasn't sure at first but he's been alright so far. Tyler sure does have a need to be the center of attention on the judges panel though, but along with a big ego it appears he also has a big heart.

I love him...

I'm not missing Simon at all...and I thought the show would turn into a pile of dung after he left...

they've very subtly righted the ship. Theres less bullshit...and more serious singing. I love the change....and I love the fact that they have 2 accomplished recording artists on the panel....instead of a bulldyke waste of oxygen and a never-has-been songwriter.......

Unbelievable. Guy comes off the DL and in his first game back, lines a double off the left fied wall in the 8th and then wins it with a walk off shot in the 10th.

Bitchin.'

It just came to me that Aerosmith recorded the song, "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)" and ironically, now this dude really DOES look like a lady

Every good frontman has a big ego. His is very tolerable, and humorous. I like the show better than when they had Simon. After you've seen Simon tear a dozen people to shreds, it got kind of old anyway.

I thought it was awesome when Steven did the duet of "Don't Want To Miss A Thing" with the 15-year-old.

There was a documentary on vocal chord laser surgery a few years ago. They filmed ST having his pipes repaired. Don't know if it returned him to 18, like someone said, but it probably gave him another decade of work.

Btw, Anyone note the Journey reference in the one of the AI audition show segments? There's an orchestral/strings version of DSB is playing in background. Maybe it's foreshadowing on something planned for this season. Interesting.

However, Randy Jackson is playing somewhat of a bad guy this year. Laughing & down-talking, someone's gotta carry the Simon torch. Lopez & Tyler are almost too touchy feely.

Ok, that was just fuckin' awesome. She's gonna be tough to beat.

PS Anyone that watches the first clip has to watch it all the way to the end. The ending is hilarious!
