Post Your City

Post photos of the city that your from.

Unfortunately, many of the photos of Cleveland that I'm going to post were taken while the Terminal Tower was being restored to it's original condition. Therefore the upper portion of the tower is often not lit up, and the outer facing of that portion of the tower was removed during construction.

It's funny. Over 40 years ago a couple of greedy companies decide to illegally dump chemicals into the river so they don't have to pay to remove them properly. A small part of the river catches on fire because of those chemicals. The river is cleaned up to the point that you could drink the water straight from the river if you wanted to. And there are still losers like you that try to act as if that just happened yesterday.

I guess by your "logic" that all Massholes still burn people alive for being witches? I guess all of you in Boston go around strangling everyone else too?

Not to rag on Cleveland anymore than it deserves, but I was in Cleveland Week 16 when the Browns played Pittsburgh and that stadium is an absolute shithole. It stunk, it was seriously located inches away from a goddamn dock, and I swore I seen a giant pile of turd overlooking the city (seriously, haha.) I can't really explain how bad and dirty the city looked, right smack in the middle of a dump-plant.

Indians Stadium was beautiful though, very classy.

That's nothing more than the Steelers fan in you talking. With the exception of the stadium being near a dock, none of what you said is even close to true. Browns Stadium is every bit as good as Condiment Field in Pittsburgh.

Who cares if Browns Stadium is near a dock? What the hell is wrong with that???

This is Severance Hall, where the best orchestra in America, the Cleveland Orchestra, performs in the winter, spring and fall.
Severance Hall was used to double as a Presidential palace in the Harrison Ford movie "Air Force One."

The Terminal Tower in Cleveland

PostPosted: Thu Feb 03, 2011 5:40 pm
by Journey/Survivor
This is the Terminal Tower in Cleveland. When it first opened it was the tallest building in the world. One year later the Empire State Building in NYC became the tallest building in the world. The Terminal Tower remained the second tallest building in America until 1967.
Unfortunately, like I mentioned in my first post in this thread, many of these photos were taken during construction to restore the top of the Terminal Tower to it's original condition. Therefore it won't look as nice in some photos as it usually does.
