Kinda said to see Jerry Sloan retire. One of the few guys in the NBA game that I still had respect for.

Saw this while at the gym. Rumor has it that he coudn't deal with babystting these fucking thugs anymore. That the cow-towing of the players got to be too much. Probably a stark contrast to all the years he had guys like Stockton, Malone, Hornacek and a few others.

What I was hearing was that he had more trouble dealing with management and them not wanting to allow him to run the team the way he saw fit.

Yeah, I kinda liked that guy even though I wasn't a Jazz fan. He was a great shooter and busted his ass on the court. My love for the NBA game really faded after guys like him, Stockton, Malone, Jordan, etc., left the game.

Deron Williams is going to be a free agent at the end of the year. During the past 2 seasons the rift between Sloan & Williams has been growing for various

reasons. Rather than staying and taking the chance of Williams leaving via FA (thus leaving the Jazz without a "Star") Sloan is taking the high road. Plus, he

wasn't happy when management didn't resign Carlos Boozer and Wesley Matthews last year. Plus Sloan is now 68 years old. Man, this guy has given so much

to the game. I loved him as a player and the NBA is gonna miss him!
