A "GOD" being taking down by an taser? Your kidding right? The only idea I have here about the cause is maybe he got his power stripped by Odin? As an avid reader of comics when I was a kid and adult until I thought the price of comics, like everything else went sky high, Thor was my favorite. I always thought Thor could be made into a great movie because of his ties to Asgard and all the characters there and his ties to earth, plus he was a GOD. Am I wrong but when Marvel did a thing on the most powerful super heros years ago, wasn't Thor the top one? Refresh my memory.

Yes...Odin does strip Thor of his powers in the movie.
