Bruno Mars - thoughts?

Postby Deb » Wed Feb 23, 2011 1:05 pm

Love this kid's voice, I think he's a refreshing change in the crop of pop/rap stars out there. :) This Puerto Rican/Filipina has tons of soul and swagger. Reminds me a little of MJ. LOL, of course I dig the motown influenced delivery. 8) Anybody have any albums of his?

lol ... I googled it. He was wearing the Bruno Magli shoes the night he *didn't* kill Ron and Nicole.

As for the kid, he's pretty darn good. He and The Beib give the shit industry of pop music a glimmer of hope.

He's awesome! I like his "live" sessions of these songs better than the official versions! He was amazing at the Grammys! I'm sure we will see alot more of Bruno and the gang! Simply amazing!

I'll crawl first!!!!

True story: A friend of mine at work, John, who does cabin service (cleaning the airplane) was standing on the jetbridge waiting for the passengers to get off so he could start cleaning. He was standing there and an OLD man, not unlike myself, evidently  with a bag in each hand, walked over to him and very quietly asked "Son, would you pull my pants up?" John paused for a few seconds and said "pardon me, sir?", and the elderly gentleman repeated his request. So John, being the good airline employee he is (that's a joke in itself) reached and lifted the mans trousers up to the appropriate level. The elderly gentleman thanked him and walked up the jetbridge.

Needless to say, we've never let him live that one down.

OMG...isn't that the truth!! I get so tired of hearing people my age tear apart EVERY young artist out there.

Just because they are young does not mean they have no talent. It reminds me of my parents not liking my music.

It does make them sound like a bunch of old farts!!

As for Mars.....I have liked what I have heard so far. The very first song I heard of his reminded me a little of MJ.
