Downloading media from internet?

Postby Journey/Survivor » Wed Feb 23, 2011 5:21 pm

What computer software do you use to download songs and video clips off of the internet?

If you were going to download a video clip from Youtube or any other site, what software do you use, and how good is it in your opinion?

I used to use something called "Ask & Record Toolbar" that allowed me to download almost anything that I wanted, be it songs or video clips. But that is no longer an option. Do any of you use anything that you can recommend?

Lets say band "x" has a song on their website that you can listen to, but they don't intend it to be downloadable, what do you use to download it? Or say a website has a movie trailer that you can watch, but it's not intended to be downloadable, what do you use then to download it?

I don't think Andrew allows the trading of copyrighted material here, so this can't be discussed.

Anyway, my intentions are not for anything related to MR. I just mean other websites.

Camtasia allows you to take videos of videos. There is also a site that supposedly lets you save YouTube videos: http://keepvid.com.

Thanks, though!
