The Supreme Court, in an 8-1 decision, ruled Wednesday that members of the renegade Westboro Baptist Church have a constitutionally protected right to protest military funerals even though their demonstrations are widely despised and deplored.

This is a great example of when the right to do something is not necessarily appropriate. Unfortunately, Fred Phelps and his twisted cult aren't going
anywhere soon.

The court made the right decision. This will remain an issue that is divisive, and it's going to take new local laws to keep them at a distance.

Correct. As much as I hate those Westboro folks, they do have the right to do what they're doing.
