Well, instead of having the obnoxiously cheery "HAVE A NICE DAY!!"
...it's the polar-opposite....

WOW, man....LIGHTEN UP

New 8th and 7th graders today. The new 7th graders are too afraid to breath, first day, they get over that fast! LOL! I think that last group had them running scared. They were so bad, I had to send 4 or 5 of them to the office. Not on the same day of course. But they were an obnoxious group! The kind of kids that have to get in the last word all the time, even when it would be wiser for them to hush!

The day could be a lot worse for all of us, we could be standing in a pile of rubble and mud wondering where our house went.

Or we could be locked in a room that our captor's are pumping in with samples of Eclipse. And not some 30-sec youtube clip either - the full songs.

That's kind of been my perspective this week. Someone on FB was complaining of snow the morning of the tsunami, and all I could think of was, do you know how lucky you are to only have to deal with snow?

Well, we're still entitled to have a bad day! :) It's just it does kind of just give a better perspective for how even on our worst days, we are pretty lucky I think! Even if sometimes we may not feel like it!

Exactly, I've been thinking the same thing. I mean, we ALL complain about something from time to time (and some people ALL the time, the "woe is me, the universe is against me"  ) but I try to keep things in perspective, and something like this just jolts that even more. I still have no dining room floor after that leak almost 2 months ago, will be finished next week, but to see these peoples homes and lives just completely washed away in seconds :( well it makes you realize how lucky you are to simply have one bad day here and there.

And I could tell those people standing in the rubble where their houses used to be not to complain because there are dead people under said rubble. The point is that everything is relative and when I'm having a bad day at work I really don't give a fuck about what's happening several thousand miles away!
