So did I ... but I copied and pasted mine. Here it is:

I've never thought much of the guy either. The only time I really ever heard Sweet's name was back in the day and as the butt of jokes. Tommy DeCarlo is a much better fit and has a much better voice.

Apparently he decided that the magnitude of the shit that is that album is not even worth posting about.

I concur. IMHO, his voice was overly thin, like people say about Hugo. High-register gar......bage. Another example of people given a person undeserved credit and adulation because he went through a personal hardship. Just because he lost his wife to cancer, doesn't mean the guy needs to be annointed a great singer....I'm sorry he lost his wife, but c'mon.

I usually do that on this board....but I figured things had gotten better with screen freezes, and that other thing that happens in the left upper corner...

I just came to the conclusion that if have to resort to creating pathetic Stryper threads, I really have run out of stuff to talk about. 20,000 posts later and my tank has finally run dry. Now It's time to ply my wares in that other social mecca for media sites, Facebook.

About how shitty their cover album turned out to be and what a terrible singer Sweet is and how I couldn't believe this guy was ever considered a viable replacement for Brad Delp and for that matter how a band masquerading as God's Bumblebees ever got so much pub in the first place.
That's all.

We only have about a week or so until Journey goes back on the road. You'll have plenty to say by then.

DSB, Faithfully, Perry, Pineda, there's only so many ways to talk about the same shit over and over again. I could just cut and paste from my last three years of posts, it will be the same arguments anyway.

I'll be the first to admit, my act's gotten old and I've got no new material left. Happens to the best of us.
I'm toast.

I like his voice, don't think it is thin for the most part. And don't know much about his hardship or his wife's cancer. I DO definitely agree on the cover cd. Not many of them standout for me as all that great on that album. Not that impressed. I like his mid range vocal tone on stuff like this though...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Zsbyl0uXV0

I still read here religiously but time to let others contribute and get their viewpoints heard without always putting in my unsolicited two cents every post.

I've always thought he was perhaps the worst lead singer from the Hair Metal era, and just slightly better than Danny Joe Brown of Molly Hatchet. Whatever Scholz was smoking the night he decided to hire Sweet to "replace" Delp shouldn't even be sold in Amsterdam.

What's wrong with you people?!? Michael Sweet RULES!!! One of the best screamers in rock too, and still has his pipes! Saw them twice in 2009, and they blew the roof off of both places. I hope you packed plenty of suntan lotion, because you're all going straight to H E L L ! ! ! !

+1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXlnmlzAEYk I liked him in Boston from the clips I've seen. Way better frontman than Home Depot dude.

That doesn't mean he's a good singer, just that he's not as bad as the Home Depot guy.

I used to sing karaoke with Tommy. He's a good guy with a great voice - more suited to the Delp material.

I'll admit, he's missing some grit and soul in his vocal, that I usually require, but I liked his vibrato on some of the early Stryper stuff.
