I was glad to see Obama defer and pass the baton to Sarkozy and let him lead the actions aimed at curbing the Libyan violence. I'm not sure what the rationale was behind it, but it's obvious that Sarkozy is smarter, braver, better spoken and far more willing to make tough miliatry decisions. And I'd rather see the baton passed than watch Obama continue to embarrass our country and military by playing paddycake with Gaddafi. That only emboldens our enemies. Nice work, Sarkozy.

I think it has a lot to do with poor education. Uneducated people couldn't give a fuck about politics, and as you say, sit on their ass, getting fat and watch Grey's Anatomy. People need to be more aware of what's happening around them.

I think this country was great when there was a bunch of fantasy on TV. Sitcoms about how life wasn't. Once we were shown how we REALLY are with reality TV....we got a glimpse on just how fucking whacked we are as a culture.
