It's a strange feeling, not being able to just log straight onto the Noticeboard. What am I going to babbble about, now that there's no forum for my drivel?

The decade old board ...has been heavily spammed in recent times, leaving it vulnerable to hackers and only last week was hijacked to send out spam e-mail across an old admin e-mail account.
So, with one page of history closing, it is time to start a new chapter. A replacement board is in development and will be launched officially on Monday. This new board will add many new features that users have requested over the years and throw in a few brand new options that should impress and help folks get over the loss of the old board (may it rest in peace).
Stay tuned for updates.

There are some posters here that I know from way back [ I was bladesedge on the Journey official forums and then the Water Cooler] and it still seems to be Journey that counts for the majority of traffic here. Again, just an observation....
I don't know how many, if any, from the Noticeboard will make the temporary move here. It's a new world compared to the relative quiet of the Noticeboard.

Nice blog, btw, Dave.

I doubt hardly any will. I went for years posting over there without even knowing this place existed.

Are you suggesting that theyre as slow as you are ? Thats just an observation , not an accusation![]()

In fact, a member here pointed out to me it's existence, and told me to keep it on the down low because he/she didn't want an influx of this board going to that board. I've been over there roughly 100 times since then, never posted. There is a majority of international posters over there, and it's more music informational-based than here. There doesn't seem to be as many friendships over there. Well, not exactly NO friendships, but more of an aquaintance/comraderie about certain bands kind of thing. Over there you had topics about groups you would never read about here: Magnum, Ten, Thunder, Storyteller...etc. an EXTREMELY more rounded music fan, if you will. The format/style of the board was like the old Compuserve bulletin boards. I felt out of place there, although I knew all the bands they were speaking of - it just seemed to antiseptic for my tastes...and the fact that they wanted it kept quiet rubbed me the wrong way.....

Are you blind? That's an accusation not an observation.
Well, I've been called blonde before, but never blind! That's my first with that accusation!Duncan wrote:StevePerryHair wrote:Behshad wrote:kgdjpubs wrote:rocknut wrote:I don't know how many, if any, from the Noticeboard will make the temporary move here. Strange way of thinking.....both boards are promoted equally and are linked from the frontpage.

Nevertheless, that's what I was told. And I don't think many non-noticeboard people knew about it.
