In fact, a member here pointed out to me it's existence, and told me to keep it on the down low because he/she didn't want an influx of this board going to that board. I've been over there roughly 100 times since then, never posted. There is a majority of international posters over there, and it's more music informational-based than here. There doesn't seem to be as many friendships over there. Well, not exactly NO friendships, but more of an aquaintance/comraderie about certain bands kind of thing. Over there you had topics about groups you would never read about here: Magnum, Ten, Thunder, Storyteller...etc. an EXTREMELY more rounded music fan, if you will. The format/style of the board was like the old Compuserve bulletin boards. I felt out of place there, although I knew all the bands they were speaking of - it just seemed to antiseptic for my tastes...and the fact that they wanted it kept quiet rubbed me the wrong way.....
I think more than anything, these forums are populated by, predominantly, US-based Journey fans. The noticeboard is populated by a bit more international (read: Europe) melodic rock fans. Plenty of those over there that don't even like Journey. Just a different crowd, but there are some benefits. Don't think we're likely to have many Magnum/Ten/Thunder threads over here, even though I wouldn't be opposed to them!
