It's a photo of a 6.4m (21 feet) croc that was shot near Darwin about a year ago. The only people in Australia who get that close to live crocs in the wild are German tourists who ignore the 'no swimming, crocodiles in the water' signs.

Looks like a Guarna or monitor lizard.
We have them & they grow to 6 feet & my mom stopped one from carrying away one of our kittens in the ole outback.
Didn't know people try to raise them
