I can only imagine how good of a time Deb had. It was an excellent concert. Mr. Big played for just about two hours, and sounded fantastic. They played five songs off the new album and threw in a few songs that haven't been played in a while like "Mercliess" and "Road To Ruin."

Pat Torpey was solid as ever behind the kit. Billy and Paul were sick per usual. And Eric Martin sounded great, and the band's harmonies were very good. Lots of interplay on stage and plenty of smiles to go around.

Eric mentioned this was their first show in the States in 15 years, and joked, "What the fuck were we thinking?"

Also, it was a nice surprise to see that the show was sold out.

I was supposed to be at this show in LA! Had a ticket but couldn't afford the airfare! That's ok, I'll see them next month at the M3 Festival! ;-p

Hope Deb, Cindi & Wendy had fun! Was expecting a concert call but never got one!

Hopefully Cindi got some video and/or pics for the rest of us to drool over! ;-)

It was PHENOMENAL!!! Just PHENOMENAL!! I have seen Billy play live a few times and Paul live as well. Never have seen Eric. LOVE each of these musicians and been a fan of Mr. Big and could not wait for this show. Was so looking forward to seeing them and finally seeing Billy and Paul on stage together. Man these four guys are just simply meant to play together.

I'm watching/listening to "Timstar1's" YouTube right now! Thanks for that!

Pam - I wanted to call, but John and I were out to the side in front of Billy and there is no way the call would have come through - it would have been just too loud with my cheap phone!

Deb has to catch a flight, she will be in here soon!

We were front and center, what a great show, Eric sounded amazing (what the hell was I worried about him singing over PG and BS :lol:

did you hear that killer long rock scream he let lose with I think it was during Price You Gotta Pay, can't remember) gawd he sounded good! And Billy and Paul, simply unreal!! All the new ones sounded great, loved As Far As I Can See and Around The World too. Just about lost it when they started up Merciless! One of my absolute favorites! LOL I've been posting that request everywhere and anywhere. :lol:

I couldn't concert call anybody, I was right in front of Eric's mic.......would have been too loud. Besides I was just soaking it all in, what an awesome show! They are going to kick your ass at M3. :wink:

She knew to try to get Undertow and Take Cover, and could tell from my totally rockin out to Merciless, she got that one! No idea how she got these clips so steady with such a spaz rockin' out beside her. :lol:

Yes, he does. Paul has suffered some major hearing loss and he wears the headphones live to protect what hearing he has left.

I'm glad you liked the videos. There's no guarantee on pictures. I left the good cameras at home, because in the past we haven't been able to get in with them at HOB for the big shows. Of course this time they didn't even check for cameras! :roll:

The concert was AWESOME! Eric sounded amazing! I did have to keep Deb tied to the ground though! lol She's already planning the trip for the next Mr. Big concert! lol

Pam, sorry my phone was dead by the time the concert started. We'd spent the day on it coordinating meeting up with Wendy, John and Jill for lunch. Then meeting up with Lisa before the show. I barely got Deb and I checked in on FB before it died. :cry:

I am all for protecting his hearing, but aren't there more modern, smaller, in ear, cooler looking things he could be using that provide the same (if not better) protection.

Yeah, I think that one is pretty vocally taxing live. Got a little chuckle out of the face he made at me around 2:25 tho :lol:

Just uploading Alive and Kicking now. Watching these as I uploaded them, you're right there was lots of smiles going 'round I think the guys were having a blast. That 4:00 mark on the Addicted To That Rush clip I posted when the crowd just goes nuts, the guys were just lovin it and soaking it all in. Great to see, well deserved for these 4!
