Anybody watching?

I can tell you one thing, George is a big dick....all the ex-military guys ganging up on Jay Lim last week, and then Jamie this week....well Jamie got immunity...so fuck you, George....

Exhibit #1 why I hate military so much, especially ex-marines....the holier than thou attitude.

This show has turned into TopBuddy....I've watched my last shot.

I watched last season, couldn't stand all the bitching and whining. Not to mention that some of their shooting ability was just pathetic. You can't hit a head-sized target at 50 yards with a M91/30 Mosin Nagant? Seriously? Liked the gun porn, but just got annoyed with everything else. And it's also cool that the shooting sports other than "shootinz muh thaughty tahughty at the deers" are getting mainstream recognition. It's a great show for people who are casually into guns.

I saw there was a lot of bitching in the Top Shot forums last year, people saying they could shoot better than these guys and yada, yada, yada. What people don't realize is, that to get to the final group, these guys came from a field of over 100 who had to compete in a regular shooting competition. I believe one rifle and one hand gun competition. Some of the top shooters who people were saying could easily out shoot these guys WERE at the preliminary competitions but didn't make the cut. The stuff in the show , with all the bows and slingshots and whatever are not what these guys used when they qualified. Also, these guys don't get to set their sites. The weapons they use in practice are different then the ones in the challenge. If you have shot before you know when you use a rifle you never set the sights on, you are going to struggle with the first few shots. These guys can't do like us and adjust after that, they have to keep shooting and compensate for it. The SAS guy, The Filipino guy and the police instructor from last year weren't slouches at all, if you look at their backrounds. All things considered, (and we can't forget how TV edits a lot of the drama we saw where some conversations that happened over two days were put together to make it seem like they were going on at different times and in different context) I think those guys did great.

I'm talking about last year obviously. I even chatted with Adam in the forums after the show and he said those guys couldn't believe how shit was edited for Drama when they finally got to watch the shows after everything was done.
I don't plan on watching it this year as early reviews say it's drama over talent this time around (obviously to try and bring the ratings even higher than last year).

Don't mind me though, I wouldn't want to derail a ten day old, 6 post thread.
