I know Joe had been angling to get one of these easy money deals for the last few years.
From the front page of MR.

Def Leppard have announced the US release date for their live set Mirrorball. The 2CD/1DVD set will appear on WalMart shelves exclusively on June 7, one day after Europe/UK. Germany, Austria and Switzerland get it June 3. The first single from the set is the new studio track Undefeated, available now via iTunes. WalMart pre-orders ($11.88 - www.walmart.com/ip/16533344)

If Wally World keeps this up they'll put record label out of business.

With their seventh consecutive quarter of declining same-store sales, Wal-Mart may look at getting out of the music business altogether. Music sales only make up around 2% of their total business and the exclusivity deals have been used more for loss leading than actually profit gainers for any particular album. Saying screw the musical companies and dumping all their inventory is something they have been contemplating for awhile, even before this retail slump began.

Wal-Mart has gone downhill in my opinion. Their selection sucks anymore and the quality of what they do have has gotten worse too. On top of all that the prices are cheap any more either, I can go to Target and buy the same product for a lot cheaper and of better quality too.
