I didn't know that a Christopher Cross album has been released. There is a song free download on Amazon called "Doctor Faith" with really nice backing vocals from Michael McDonald, really nice song, I may pick up the album.

Check out Sterling Whitaker's glowing review here

I'm definitely going to pick it up.

It's a nice song, and it's nice to hear Christopher and Michael McDonald team up again, but I'm not hearing a strong hook...the last song I heard from Christopher Cross that blew me away was "When She Smiles" (featuring a guitar solo from Eric Johnson)

BTW - that amazon download service is very buggy confusing, took me 3 or 4 attempts to get it to download

The guy's a legend and I love his work. I was listening to Sirius the other day and they said that MTV ruined the dude's career virtually overnight. They went on to say, mincing no words, that when MTV revealed to the world what an absolutely ugly motherfucker he was, that his popularity really waned instantly. I was laughing so fucking hard at their insensitivity that I thought I was going to crash my car. Seriously, it sounded like a Euro tirade from Deano and really was funnier than shit ... unless your name happens to be Christopher Cross. I'm pretty sure one of the commentators was Jim Norton and he's one ruthless bastard.

Jim Norton - talk about having a face for radio - he's an ugly midget dude himself - but very funny...check out his 'fight' with Jesse Ventura http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvKgj_EjUDw

Here's the rest of the cd http://www.christophercross.com/ccDrFaith.html

Not sure this is going to have the hooks that made his pop songs so good.

Now that i have listened to the lower half of this cd i may take back what i just said above

This is why the show 'The Voice' will fall on its ass in the end.

The masses love underdogs but they love beautiful people even more.

Susan Boyle was the exception to the rule and Simon Cowell's one good deed he needed to take care of this lifetime.

Getting into that show. LOL, not all of them are ugly. Either way, it's all about the pipes and delivery for me. So far I'm rooting for Vicci I think. Great soulful/raspy voice and get a kick out of her delivery.......she gets right into what she's singing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQV0T6ECxdo

I find the judges/coaches are much more believable in their feedback on this show than AI. Tell it like it is. LOL at the friction between Adam and Christina, if looks could kill.......LOL I don't think he can stand her diva ass.
