Need One Person To Take Over a Fantasy Baseball Team

Postby Enigma869 » Sat May 28, 2011 3:16 am

Shoot me your email address. The league is through Yahoo and the team I need to assign (a guy in our league went AWOL) has some really good players on it. Adrian Gonalez, Joey Votto, Dustin Pedroia, Carlos Gonzalez, etc. If you've ever had a team through Yahoo...it's pretty straight forward. Shoot me your email address through PM if you're interested. Only need one person and would like to get this assigned by the end of today, so I don't have two teams to manage.

Fill me in on the league details, i.e. # of teams, scoring type, stat categories, etc. I might be interested because the league I'm in sucks.

Hey Dave...

It's only an 8 team league (which I prefer) Stat categories are as follows:

Offensive categories - R H 1B 2B 3B HR RBI SB BB K AVG CYC SLAM

Pitching Categories - IP W L CG SHO SV ER K ERA WHIP NH PG

You play the same team from Monday to Sunday each week and try to win as many categories as you can.

The league I'm in only has 6 teams, too few, in my opinion. Eight sounds about right. I don't get having the cycle, grand slams, or no hitters as a stat category, though. Oh well...Hey, can you just shoot me the link on Facebook? I'm game.

BTW, how bad does this team blow overall?

I agree that 6 is too few but from my experience 10 is simply too many. 10 team leagues in football or baseball force you to end up with a bunch of scrubs on your team who don't even play. In an 8 team league, almost everyone in the league has really good players and stays competitive (assuming they keep up with their lineup, which this guy hasn't done). He's currently in 4th place (top 6 make the playoffs) but was in second place until a couple of weeks ago when he stopped paying attention. As I said, he has some really, really good players on his team. Probably needs a stud pitcher or two, but that's what trades are for. My pitching staff is stacked, so you can send me a trade offer if you join. I tend to trade a whole lot but never just give guys away.
