This will be the last post I make here at MR Forums before I graduate from Croatan High School (ceremony is tonight) and no longer be a "high school student".

 Yeah, my excitement caused a few typos.

Good thing I'm actually a rather literate person (what normal high school student would read Paradise Lost or Dante's Inferno on his own free time during Summer Vacation? )

Congrats, Virgil T Heart ...may all of your hopes

That's Virgil Theart, madam!!!

Pfft. I got something better than that for one of my graduation presents: VIP Tickets for Journey live in Raleigh, NC in August. I know a lot of folks here have already met band members and gotten close tickets, but this is a first for me. I've always been up high in upper decks at concerts, so I'm excited to actually be up close to see the band and get the chance to meet them in person. 8)

I hope you'll see it as Kodak moment ten years from now. Nothing like finishing school and rocking out at a concert with one of your favorite bands.
Great times and later, great memories.

I'm sure I will. I saw the band (in the upper decks) on the third Honolulu concert in the Revelation Tour in 2009, and that's still one of my greatest memories. Fun night rocking out alongside my dad, who will also be my companion at the Raleigh concert.

That said, I'm hoping they play Resonate that night (which they probably will). 8)

Dude, meeting members of this band is very easy. It's so easy, you can hangout with them for lunch the day of show.

It's not like you're trying to meet Mick, Bruce or Bono, which is impossible. Schon and Cain always troll the hotel during the day....Cain is a notorious sit aloner for lunchin the hotel bar. Seriously, if you can't them day of, just go to the bus afterwards. They aren't superstars, they're simple folk. To their credit, they are very accommodating too.

Also, forget about seeing Deen in the daylight. He is a fuckin Vampire. Pineda I have NO idea about, but Valory, despite is less than average bass playing, is friendlier than Hell. That guy took a conversation about Tapegate and somehow steered it towards a Los Angeles Class Submarine conversation, which I held my own on :) RV is a smart guy FWIW. I loved him more than any other of the guys, until he threw me under the train in a European radio interview. My goal in life is to now rethrow his wrinkled ass under a real train. LOL, J/K, but fuck him three ways to Sunday.

I ever tell the story where JSS, Neal, AR and I ditched RV at a Boston Hilton for an Irish downtown bar? We literally blew him off and peeled out, leaving him there alone. It was a classic moment. Neal laughed louder than a broken chainsaw. I vividly remember us all singing harmonies to a Planters' song on the radio...It sounded so good, but we were already hammered. Schon and I were singing into a fake mic, falsley sharing it, while AR rode scrunched up in the back of a cheap Japanese UV.

Oh Steveo, that is 1/8th of the story. I have a lot of good memories with Journey. It was fun to be sure. The ONLY bad part of Journey is Azoff and JT.
