Last night - John Fogerty and Colin James. Went mainly for Colin, but Fogerty was great! 66 years old - man, that guy has energy, looks and sounds good. And his drummer is phenomenal (I recall some mention of him on here before).

Rest of the weekend - lots of awesome (mostly Canadian ) rock - Kick Axe, Nazareth, Helix (gimme' an R-O-C-K ), Steppenwolf, Streetheart and more - and the one I'm most looking forward to, the amazing Pat Travers.

I think I may just need more than Monday off to recover

I saw Fogerty about 4 or 5 years ago when he opened for Mellencamp. Went mainly to see Mellencamp but when all was said & done, I enjoyed Fogerty WAY better. You're right, he has awesome energy on stage. I lost a lot of respect for Mellencamp when he left the stage for 20 minutes so we could watch his politically charged video messages on the big screen. Definitely NOT a place for that crap and not what I paid my money for.

I would be so pissed if I spent money on a show and that happened, even if it was from a perspective that I agree with. I don't go to concerts to hear a political message.

Caught Fogerty- first time (which sucks it's been so long, been a fan for decades) two months ago on the beach in Dana Point, CA. He hits every note from every album, the band is not tuned down, fantastic band and drummer of course- Kenny Aronoff. He still has it. What was also cool was just a couple of days later Aronoff was in my office (I work for one of his equipment mfgs) so I was able to talk to him about the show. He's the coolest!

Tonight we got some Kick Axe and The Headpins recorded. Darby Mills still sounds fantastic. Got some Nazareth too but I won't be keeping that one. We left 3 songs into their set - they were over a half hour late starting and they sucked.

Dennis DeYoung and Pat Benatar both were great last night. A much better show than the boring, overrated U2 concert I saw a few weeks ago.

Yes, but she was on Thursday - we were in Vernon at the Fogerty concert that night. Saturday - saw Harlequin, got soaked to the bone and had to leave so we missed Helix and Steppenwolf. Last night was great - lots more delays because of storms but we managed to see The Powder Blues Band (amazing musicians - I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed them), the even more amazing Pat Travers, and Streetheart. And we were video taped for 'Sturgis North - The Movie' - yay, we're going to be famous!
