Hurricane Preparedness. How to Stay Online During Category 3

Seriously. I live on teh coast of NC. They are talking like it might hit here or SC. Eitherway we are going to get it. Is there like a battery pack I can buy to plug in my laptop to in case the power goes out? I know that my laptop has a battery, but a pack to keep my battery juiced...

They have Uninterpretable Power Supplies for desktop computers, so if the power fails the computer will run long enough for you to save your work and shut it down. But those won't power anything for very long. The only alternative that I know of is like a portable home generator that runs on gas or diesel. But those are pretty darn expensive. This is the cheapest one I could find in a quick search, but you could probably find a better deal if you searched more thoroughly. http://www.cheap-generators.us/node-163 ... rator.html

Awe thanks Rick. I was only semi serious. :lol: Looks like I won't be online darn it!! Or course I have a feeling that is the least of my worries. Maybe I should get a voodoo doll for the hurricane..

Just get a couple of knitting needles and some yarn. If your power goes out, you'll have time to knit yourself a few voodoo dolls, doily's, place mats and what have you. :lol:

I got a black cat Rick and I know how to use it!!! :lol:

I might have to make that a latch hook pot holder vooddoo doll Rick. Last time I tried to sew a dress I made it two sizes two small. My teacher told me to stick with board shorts.

You can't have it, we want it! :evil: I think it's only rained here twice this year. Our rivers have disappeared and wells are drying up. We need that hurricane, you can have the next one. :wink:
