I'm including albums from Elf, Rainbow, Sabbath, etc., along with, of course, the Dio band albums, not including live or greatest hits albums. Have at it!
My vote goes to "Rising" just barely over "Long Live Rock 'n' Roll" and "Heaven and Hell". "Rising" got the nod due to my favorite Dio track "Stargazer".
I saw an interview from a while back that he thinks his most classic albums are "Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow", "Heaven and Hell", and "Holy Diver".

So many to pick from. I went with Sacred Heart, but could have easily chose Rising or Heaven And Hell.

Holy Diver is my favorite, but it is followed very closely by Heaven & Hell, Mob Rules, and Last in Line. I dig the Rainbow stuff too. RJD was the MAN!!!!

Just picked up the remastered edition of "Heaven and Hell" at lunchtime today. I've never actually owned a physical copy as I just had it from a download. Every single one of the tracks on this album are excellent.

Not a big fan. I have included only 3 tracks on my RJD playlist: Neon Knights, Children of the Sea, and H&H.
And only one from Mob Rules: Sign of the Southern Cross
I will say that the remastered editions sound fanfuckingtastic.

You're not saying that's the only song you like off
Mob Rules, are you?

The title track slays, in my opinion.

And "Turn Up The Night"! That song is dognuts. "Over and Over" is great, too. Really, there is NOT a dog in the bunch between
H&H and
Mob.

Agreed...Both albums are very close in quality in my opinion.

I don't care for songs where the music drowns out Ronnie's voice.....

I don't hear any of that on either HAH or MR.

Don't talk about Journey in a DIO thread.
You've been warned.
