My local ABC news station did a story today on the top 10 most stressful jobs and one of them was Music Store Employee. To illustrate just how stressful it can be, they showed this video:

This guy's face says it all.

I worked in a CD store here for 6 years-ish... And 12 months in Toronto also. Great fun most of the time. Retail sucks though. Period. Will never do it again.

I wasn't allowed near customers much in my last job before doing this fulltime.

Doing something I love :)

But general retail sucked and so did my customer service skills. I considered most customers morons and gave the appropriate service :)
Called a few of them dickheads and threw a few others out of the store because they were tools. Good times :)

A&A closed while I was there. Loved Sam's...great big store. HMV a bit generic, but good to see a few stores still hanging in. Thanks for the update!

I remember when one of the last A&A's in Calgary closed - we came out with armfuls of vinyl at 1.99 each. Some of it I've never even opened or played.

Wow, I've been in that store in TO, though it was a couple of years before you worked there (school went to see Les Mis). That was a fun trip. :)
