Didn't see this posted here before, so here it is. A new song featuring Steve Augeri on vocals:

Does anyone think that sounds good? With all due respect, it did not sound good to me.

Well, admittedly, I'd much prefer to listen to you gargle your own blood and take your last breath, but I thought the vocal was pretty good, too.

As much as I loved Steve's time in Journey, the vocal on that song isn't very good. :(

I know the song is in tribute to 9/11, but I personally don't think it's the type of song that really showcases what Steve has to offer vocally. For anyone who has seen him live at the handful of shows he's done over the summer, he sounds pretty damn good considering everything he went through vocally. I was highly impressed at the Parx show I saw him at.

Really? Sounds extremely pitchy/warbly to me. Not entirely horrible but not all that good, either.

Doesn't sound pitchy to me.
Sounds like there's a ton of vocal processing on it though, including autotune, though not the hard autotune (cher) stuff. It could be the Youtube compression, but it sounds like all the life has been sucked out (processed) of the vocal.

I thought it sounded compressed on the YouTube video. Heard the MP3 version, and it is much more clear without all of the compression.
