Good pick with BGTY.
'Change For the Better', 'Signs of Life', 'To Be Alive Again', 'Let It Take You Back', 'Faith in the Heartland' are other good ones.

Yeah, even though I've never been over the moon about Adam's vocals (a little too high/weak for my tastes), there is something very catchy about that song. This one from the album is good too............very R&B flavored. :) I Can't Lie ~ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqaEh2hAajM

The one and only time I saw them was at the US Festival back in '83. Very intimate setting - just me, my buddy Mike and 500,000 immediate family members!  Bought the Triumph DVD "Live at the US Festival" the day it was released! Sadly, Rik is another one of those singers who basks in the "prima dona" glow that seems to associate itself with so many great singers. Rest assured should they ever decide to stop here in PHX if they do another tour, I'll be first in line for tickets!

Was thrilled to see them here in my hometown receive their Hall of Fame award at the Junos a couple years ago......all 3 on the same stage! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_0LY8kR ... re=related

I don't think it is Rik, I think it is more Gil and other stuff he's got going on.

Told Ya!

Just edited my list above and added a few.

Regarding the Rik vs. Gil thing.... I dunno..... If you know the situation (which I'm sure you do - or at least part of it anyway,) you can see it through both of their eyes. However, watching the interviews with him over the years and especially immediately following the announcement of the reunion, he really comes off as a pompous ass. It's no secret he was the talent and the key wing nut in that enterprise but when you hear him state that fact and go as far as to mention in interviews that "there's no problem with me (Rik) being ready to go back on tour, but Gil is going to need a lot of work because he hasn't touched the drums in 15 years - and it shows and Mike..... I have no idea how Mike's coming along....) Direct quote! And that was AFTER the announcement had been made! Don't get me wrong.... I like him a lot both as a singer and a guitarist - brilliant in both respects. He's just a little bit too vocal about certain things. Just my opinion.

I just remember reading somewhere that the hold up is more Gil, cuz he's got a lot of business things going on and not sure if he wants to go back out on the road. But I really have no idea. Never saw that interview, wow. :o

And he does have a lot of business stuff going on - not the least of which is the recording studio Metal works, which is one of the finest and most cutting edge in your country. That's the career path he chose after the band broke up and a lot of people depend on him and that venture.

I'll dig it up (the interview) and link it for you. In his defense, all the interviews I saw with him related to their induction into the the Canadian Hall were excellent - very humble and genuinely appreciative. And by God, they deserve to be in the Hall. They earned it and those who are in charge of recognizing the artists who are inducted into Canada's Hall obviously recognized the contribution Triumph made to not only the music scene up there in the Great White North but to Rock music in general. Hey US Hall people are you listening....? Hellooooo? Anyone....?

When I think about the fact that it's just shy of 30 years since the US festival.... Man, it's just damn scary how fast time goes by the older we get. And in that regard, Rik looks pretty darned good. He's aged quite well. Glad he's matured past the spandex pants - he might be able to pull it off still but it would just be too weird.
