Motley used some cowbell quite a bit on their debut album 'Too Fast For Love' also.

Beatles- Drive My Car, A Hard Day's Night
Grand Funk- We're An American Band
Loverboy- Everybody's Working for the Weekend
Head East- Never Been Any Reason
The Baby's- Turn Around In Tokyo (Great Tony Brock drumming in this tune)
Blue Oyster Cult- Don't Fear the Reaper (which is where this whole "Needs more cowbell" came from)

While the SNL bit with Christopher Walken was HILARIOUS it sucks because now at every gig, there's some wanker yelling the phrase "We Need More Cowbell!"- (We play the Loverboy song and Honky Tonk Women) Um yeah, it was funny ONCE.

Probably none of you will know this song, but "Sweet Annie" by Club MED has a cowbell intro.

Club MED was a band project with Survivor's drummer, bass player and a guitarist/vocalist named Rod McClure.

The MED part of the band name stands for McClure/Ellis/Droubay.

They never released an album, but they gave me a copy of the demos that they recorded.

WHAT!

NOBODY HAS LISTED LOW RIDER BY WAR?????????????

And another one - you don't expect it, any other drummer would have just played the cymbal, but this guy uses cowbell instead.

Track called 'Consequences' by the fabulous Robert Cray.

Not sure if its on youtube, but its on the album track.
