You would think that, by now, management would ensure that
all the bandmembers had hotel rooms equipped with those
handicapped/elderly-friendly bathrooms, with easy access in/out
of the tubs, and handrails

And take the mini-bars out. :) If someone got ahold of those two broken teeth, they could probably get a small fortune for them on eBay!

Said in his recently released autobiography that he was hooked real bad on xanax bars and oxycontin pain killers. He has been to rehab two or three times in the past year or two for these problems.

He finally kicked pain meds but couldn't shake the xanax problem.

Said he kicked drugs and was sober 15 years from 1987 until around the millennium but relapsed when he had a foot injury and started taking narcotic pain medicine vicodin.

He said that one small thing started a monster relapse. He had trouble ever since.

Got hooked on xanax to sleep when for a year straight he was bedridden with Hepatitis C and was getting hardcore treatment that cured him. This treatment was very hard and painful but he wanted to do what it took even if it was experimental so he could get his health back.

This treatment went on for a solid year and was a success.Tyler was confirmed to bed basically this whole time.

His wife left him during this period when he was fighting for his health. At the time they were doing a bunch of home repairs and Steven's wife left him for the man who was doing construction of Tyler's house.

He has said in his book he loves to snort xanax bars and pass out and stay asleep.

Already had a couple rehab visits in recent times and has stated the pills are very addicting.

He said in his book he fears it will end up getting him sooner or later especially with him getting older. He really wants to stay sober but finds it a hard struggle.

When he travels its usually with a sober companion and he tries to find a AA or NA meeting in every town he goes to.
