Going to see Buckingham in an intimate (1,200 seat) theater tomorrow. Pumped. He stole (was the) the show when I saw him with Fleetwood Mac.

I believe Ed (AR) has seen him recently.

Awesome player. I'd say one of the very best out there. I would put Lindsay and Nils Lofgren ahead of anybody in rock. Of course on this board, the folks will scoff at that but it's true.

I did. Fantastic show. And Dean is right, I would put Lindsey above just about anyone in rock as a guitarist.

He was here last Sunday and I wasn't able to go. I'm really bummed about it because it was a relatively small venue. It would have been very cool to see him in such a place.

Cue the buffoons saying Neal Schon is better than lindsey buckingham. lol.

Lindsey puts on an incredible show, you will not be dissapointed. I love his latest solo effort "Seeds We Sow" probably the best album since "Out of the Cradle" which to me was one of the best albums of the 90's.

I've never seen him solo, but even with FM, he, while being a bit unorthodox, is just plain great.

Can someone name a few songs that they feel are examples of some of Buckingham's best playing?

Feel free to post links too, if you don't mind.

Also, can some of you name off to me some aspects of his playing that you consider to prove that he's a great guitarist?

I've heard a lot of his playing. Some of you must be hearing some recordings that the general public doesn't have access to.

I'm aware of his picking style.

Show was awesome. Opened with Buckingham and his guitar (acoustic, which he changed each song). When he came out, he didn't say a word for the first three songs (no good evening, hello, nothing...kind of made me wonder how it was going to go), but warmed to the crowd and did I nice job providing some insight to his work.

He performed about 1/3 of the show solo. Amazing peformer and like what has been said, one of the best guitarists around. I usually grow bored when someone does that but I could have listened to an entire show of it. An acoustic, bluesy Go Insane was a favorite. His vocals were strong all evening.

He did a nice mix of old and new solo stuff and a smattering of FM classics. When the band joined him, they were solid. Good backing vocals. Could have sworn I heard Stevie somewhere in the mix. Even told my wife and she agreed. One too many glasses of Pinot Noir at dinner I guess.

Most surprising thing about the concert was he had the crowd going nuts with rocking, cranked up LOUD, Go Your Own Way to close the show. Oh man! THEN did an encore of just him and his guitar again doing two more songs from his new CD, neither of which were rockers. Seemed kind of strange that he did that, but I admire his gonads for doing it. Guess he wanted to end the show the way he started it.

The venue was an old Fox Movie Theater completely refurbished into a performing arts theater. Beautiful and perfect for a concert like this.

Bought the CD. Haven't listened it. Will tomorrow during a four hour drive.
