While I can see the need for the balance, I hate it that it was the Astros. Would have been cool, however remote the chances, to have an all Texas World Series.

The Asstroz should go to the minor leagues and stay the Hell out of the major leagues.

It's a stupid move. Texas citizens, ie, Niggerhead Ranch goers, executioners, snakeskin oil business folk, will now have TWO AL teams? Much better business to have NL teams comer calling in addition to the Yankees, Red Sux and Angels.

I was hoping they'd put the Brewers back in the AL since that's where they were for most of the life of the franchise.

That makes more sense to me as well.

One game playoff between Wild cards.
That would seem to favor the division winners as the wildcard teams will probably have to burn an ace for that one game showdown between each other.

Is that what they're doing, or is that what you think they should do?

Why don't they just allow every fucking team in the playoffs? The regular season means nothing now...this is supposed to give teams an added incentive to win their division....which is good, because I've always worried teams weren't trying to win their divisions...

Selig did not offer specifics on the schedule or playoff format, but said his committee for on-field matters favors the one-game playoff among wild-card teams in each league, saying it would be "dramatic."
