This will never end in baseball. In addition to suspending him for the 50 games, I'd take the trophy the guy just won away from the fucker!

I'd like to see a PED clause in contracts. You get caught doign roids, HGH, or any other banned substance - your contract is VOIDED. And you get no more money from said contract.

While it's a fair point, Clemens didn't fail a piss test a month after winning any of those 7 Cy Young Awards! This is a bit different (at least for me), given that you have the guy juicing in the season he won his award.

With all the performance enhancers - it was so obvious. You do not become a better athlete as you get older. Bud Selig is a piece of shit enabler and knew. Fuck him and fuck baseball.

In football, as brutal as it is, I almost understand using.

Baseball players are pussies and the most arrogant in sports for no reason.

The point is, and one that is not missed by most athletes today: It pays to use PEDs. After his 50 games suspension, he will still be covered by his 150 million dollar contract. So he juices, gets caught, and still reaps the benefits of the ducats....win-win.

Absolutely.

And had the owners and the league loved it until it finally came out.

The bigger question is why did MLB wait until after he won the MVP for this news come out?? Most of the reports that I have seen state that he failed the test a couple months back, long before the season ended for the Brewers, so it is obvious that MLB knew this at the time, and let things play out. If I were Matt Kemp, I'd be pretty pissed knowing that I probably only lost out on the MVP because my team didn't make the playoffs, and now I lost it to a guy who was talking PEDs.

I don't think it's been officially announced by MLB until the appeal is heard.

Maybe, but I think that is still a big question that they are going to be asked. Certainly, innocent til proven guilty, but one article I read stated that 0% of players who have appealed MLB's findings have been cleared.

This whole Braun situation smells.

-He doesn't test positive for a PED, he tests positive for something on the MLB list of banned substances. Fair enough. Guilty.

-But, apparently his testosterone level was more than double the highest ever failed test??? How is that even possible?

-Outraged at the result, he asks for a retest and the result comes back negative. From what I've read, that would be an impossible result based on the first insanely elevated levels as there wasn't enough time to get it back to zero.

Something smells here.

Maybe it's the Selig/Milwaukee connection. Hasn't his sister (or someone in his family) been running that team since he "moved on" to become the Commish?

It's hard to imagine baseball recklessly persecuting Braun. He just was named NL MVP, and he is the jewish prince of the game with a terrific reputation. I almost feel like he got misdiagnosed for something and the treatment caused a freakish test result. I don't know...i hope he comes up with some viable and true explanation. I like the guy.
