I think he has a fabulous soulful quality to his voice,
and I think she has a beautiful tone. Comparisons to Karen Carpenter are inevitable, but she's not imitating her, she just has a similar quality.




Just thought I'd share these discoveries with you in case you like them and hadn't yet heard them.

Only had a chance to listen to the first one so far, was going to come on and say I wasn't sure I liked the song, but then it kicked in a bit. But agreed, he's got a great tone and rasp to his voice, great for soul.

The second one isn't soulful exactly, its just that I think she has a lovely quality and tone to her voice.

I heard this song for the first time recently and thought it was a Karen Carpenter track that I'd never heard before.
Then I realised it wasn't her so I sought out the vocalist and downloaded the track.

Seems like she's a true Artist.
