What are some songs from the 70s or earlier that you get a kick out of?

Totally busted by a co-worker, rockin' out to this one on the radio today. LMAO and I mean head boppin'/shoulder rockin! Didn't even know he was standing in my doorway.

We all know that Andrew loves "Sweating To The Oldies", and anything from Boy George or The Village People. Especially "In The Navy"... he really gets excited when that song starts playing, and he'll get those hips going.

Well, not sure if all "Oldies" stations follow the same criteria for what they consider an "Oldie" but the station here in PHX, KOOL Gold FM, builds their playlist from songs that are 25 years old or older - which, for whatever reason, irks me when I hear ANYTHING by Journey on THAT station.  But, to answer your question, here's a couple that quickly came to mind...

Ooga, chaka, ooga ooga ooga chaka.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Es92rIBb ... re=related

Head East - "Never Been Any Reason" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7jW8_2Us5c

And, from the law offices of Hamilton, Joe Frank, and Reynolds, :P  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfcilKhaWx4

Climax - Precious and Few http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I95xCjQe ... re=related

Kenny Nolan - "I Like Dreamin'" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I95xCjQe ... re=related (Man-oh-man... this song was GIGANTICALLY HUGE when I was in 7th grade!

A couple more...
Tod Rungren - "Hello it's me..." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLeCB7Kn ... re=related

David Soul - "Don't Give Up On Us Baby" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YY8APrYU ... re=related

RUSH - "Spirit of Radio" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Tq-UsaRchI (One of those songs that justifies the $$ spent on my sound system!)

And what 70's "guilty pleasure" song list would be complete without at least something by the BeeGee's?
(The links take you to a band from Brazil called Blow-Up who does outstanding covers of these two particular songs ... and they're playing these covers live in a mall!!! )

"How Deep is Your Love?" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdyDoa0tWpU

Fantasy by Earth Wind and Fire - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fl2O3d9hqaA

Yup! Some seriously talented artists and lots & lots of great music came out of that decade - a lot of which is still in daily circulation on rock stations around the world. And the diversity of the music was amazing. From AC/DC to DEVO, from Led Zep to The Cars, from The Eagles to YES, RUSH, TRIUMPH, Journey, and on and on....

Sooooo..... you're a big Fleetwood Mac fan I take it...?
Stevie is an Arizona native and her dad used to be the biggest events promoter in the state. Back in the 70's and through the mid-90's he owned the premier event spot for outdoor festivals here in PHX. Together with Alice Cooper, they pretty much monopolized that market - and I'm not saying it was a bad thing. Not at all. They put together some outstanding music festivals which, due to who they were and the fact that Daddy Nicks owned the venue, were exclusive, non-touring events. Stevie is now the controlling partner in her dad's business but since his death, there hasn't been any events there. He did a lot for the music biz and the fans here.

Not sure why I felt compelled to share this with you but...
