She's definitely got the pipes, great voice, helluva performance of Rolling In The Deep. Great to see somebody with natural talent sweep the Grammies. Loved Bruno's performance too, always dig his old-school 60s R&B vibe...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=040TH3oq ... re=related

Watching Springsteen too, I was think how he is aging gracefully, looks great for his age, in shape, etc. Still got a full head of hair, if maybe a little receding, some natural wrinkles, etc., looks good on him. Makes me wonder what Schon would look like now too if he hadn't gone all plastic? :?

Happy to see Adele back and her voice sounded great, no rasp...very glad she won. I'm outta touch...but, what the heck was that electric mouse with the Foo Fighters all about??
Yes, love Bruno's 60s retro vibe...feel good music!

Actually watched parts of the show for the first time in decades.

Good to see they were "live." Couple of mic malfunctions proved that.

Bit disappointed in Bruce's new song that opened. Very repetitious, repeating over and over a melody/chorus I thought he'd already used before in other songs.

Fun to see Beach Boys together. Maroon 5 actually did a nice job. One of their lead singer's dialated eyes freaked me out, but they did good.

Nicki Minaj (whoever the hell that is) at the end of the show was awful and a bit disturbing. She gave me the creeps.

Enjoyed Paul McCartney jam during finale. Good to see Joe Walsh up there. Not to pick on Bruce, but he probably shouldn't have been trying to be a part of it as he was terrible on his turns to provide a short lick. I was embarrassed for him.

Yeah, Bruce is just not a lead player. I think that Paul most likely asked him to do it, so it was cool. People have been grilling Bruce on his lead guitarist abilities on youtube. I think Bruce was okay at the beginning, but probably shouldn't have said "Anybody alive out there?" Whoops.

Earlier last week Paul did a lot of his new/old Tin Pan Alley tunes live on iTunes from Capitol Studios (filmed). I'm a HUGE Paul freak, but stuff like Sinatra and Tony Bennett are not my thing AT ALL and I wasn't looking forward to it. But I checked it out cuz I'm a Paul freak. The way he did those tunes live with the players he had was absolutely something different for him and he did it so well. Not his same live band but live strings, and some really top notch session players. Walsh was there too. He played well, but it always looks like he's having some kind of seizure. It was much better than his performance last night and actually, the songs done live were better than on the new album. Totally not a 'vegasy' kind of deal but more in the style of like Billie Holiday. Not the voice, but the instrumentation. It was really minimal and actually very cool. Just a better performance. He was good last night, but he'd been singing all week long (the iTunes performance was the same week, another show for Musicares plus all the rehearsals for all three shows. The guy is nearly 70 and freaking has the energy of a 12 year old!). You could hear the fatigue in his voice, but man, Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End was really cool to watch.

um, this has been the Paul Report. sorry!

Yikes...I don't know who the black chick was doing the faux-exorcism thingy but it was both a disturbing and horrible performance all in one.

Love to see this place always bag on Bruce. Pure fucking jealousy. He sounded terrific and the band is fucking huge; has that "Wall of Sound" thing going on- 14 people on stage; 2 backup vocalists, violinists, trumpets, trombone, and 2 sax players(I guess the Big Man's shoes cannot be filled by one person). That was the very first song of the night. It will sound much better when he has his own sound people on the job. Last night it had to mixed in a generality for all bands to use. Anyway, there's now way you jealous fuckers(Journey fans), can adequately or seriously say he and the ESB sucked. They never ever have a bad performance, period.

To the person who said Bruce shouldn't have said "Is there anybody alive out there?"- that's his trademark saying. He has used that phrasing for 40 years.

Brywool, dude, you're dead wrong about him not being a lead player. He easily smokes McCartney. Granted, Bruce isn't the best guitarist, but is very good. His other two players, Stevie Van Zandt and Nils Lofgren are both bettter. I would have liked to seen Nils up there in the finale jam- he would put all of those guys to shame, including Grohl. Bruce's axe seemed out of tune to me, but hey, close enough for rock n roll, but please don't ever "feel embarrassed" for Springsten. He is by far the very best live performer in the world, without question. 62 fuckin years old too. As a fan, I am very pleased at what I saw. LL Cool J said it right; "Thanks Bruce. Always speaking about the times we live in." Social relevance. No other artist can write the words he does about everday/year current events.

Anyway, I KNEW after his number last night, you guys would be criticizing him for whatever. I just laugh out loud. They are so much more talented and so much the better band than any rock band alive today, including Journey- it's not even close.

Carry on wit the bashfest. And Deb from Calgary; I am shocked you heaped any praise on the Boss at all. I admit I thought of you when Bruce and Stevie shared the mic..you love that don't you?

Bye haters- :D :)

Loved how Bruce opened the show. Great to see Bruce. Adele OMG her performance last night was so good. What a voice. Jennifer Hudson's performance last night was great and the Glen Campbell salute was great. Paul McCartney was good. Glad to see Paul at the awards show.

I also knew Bruce's tune. I thought it was good and I'm not a fan. little Steven though is such a dork on stage. Bruce certainly didn't smoke Paul last night. He was not a good lead player, though I did like his performance. Not a big deal, just seemed like it wasn't his thing. It was cool to see he and Paul on the same stage, but I maintain that Paul's guys out played the "legends".

The best performance of the night for me was Bruno Mars. Holy crap, that guy and his band were awesome. Never seen him. And was blown away by how tight his band was. Yeah, they ripped off the godfather, but it was brilliant.

He just got his felony cocaine possession case wiped off the books last month after 200-plus hours of community service and drug-education classes. We'll see how long he can stay clean.

I watched for the first time in yeeears ...mainly
to see Adele, Bruno, Sir Paul, The Boss and the tribute
to Glen ...^^^^all great stuff!! Adele is phenomenal,
and although I couldn't care less about the records she
has set, it is truly amazing what she has accomplished
in her short career/life. Her performance was flawless.
Bruno isn't just another pretty face, he is incredible ...LOVE
HIM!!

Glen Campbell is the poster child for I LIVED TO TELL ABOUT IT.
If he hasn't written a book, he needs to before he forgets ...he looked
great!!

Get over yourself, man.
You come here begging for people to share their views about anything Bruce related , yet when people tell you what they think instead of what you wanna hear , you pout and call them haters.
Musically , yes everyone was rocking hard on that stage, but when the song is boring then it's a waste of talents on stage.

Not a hater. Actually a fan...even considering his viewpoint on somethings. I commented because I had high expectations and was excited they had someone with talent on the show. Just an observation that his new song sounded like something I'd already heard from him. Didn't say it sucked, but nothing "new" to get excited about.

If you thought he sounded good during the finale's guitar lick exchange ...you are drinking the coolade and/or totally deaf. It was awful. It sounded like me trying to play guitar. Dreadful. Period.

Fun performance! Liked him the first time I heard him. Talented lil guy. LOL I like when he told the celebrity audience to get off their rich asses and have some fun.
