Nora, could you explain concept of this song for you to video tape in gothic mood and singing in a grave yard?Notwithstanding the theme, I thought production is professionally done...and even better than the N&M video.
Sure
This Song is about 2 different polarities:
Pessimism & Optimism
Black & White
Do or Die
"Carpe Diem" - as I sing in the Song.
The "dark" character represents pessimism - in the beginning, I sing:
When The Moment comes your way,
Never let it slip away....oh no...
"Carpe Diem", or so they say,
Makes no sense to me, anyway...
....and it never will....
Why should I make a move,
When there's nothing left to
Prove to anyone....anymore....?
Is there more for me to learn?
Is there a fire inside that burns?
**shift to optimism / "light"**
OH, YES THERE IS!!
So, the song goes back & forth between those dynamics.
The statues are there to show permanent "loss / anguish" for lost Moments.
The part of me singing in the graveyard came to me late....we lost that entire verse footage & had to do it over.
For whatever reason, "A Christmas Carol" came into my head - particularly, "The Ghost of Christmas Future".
The graveyard represents "lost moments / opportunities" that are literally "dead & gone".
BUT ~ I'm standing there in a red coat - as in, "I'm alive - here's your last chance warning to go after what you want.
Seize The Moment".
