Sad news... RockinDeano R.I.P.

Postby RossValoryRocks » Tue Feb 28, 2012 6:13 am

Lula texted me and last night Dean (Rockin' Deano) passed away. I spoke with Lula and she would like to keep the hate to a minimum, so if you are going to spew such do it elsewhere.. Dean was trying to get his life back on track and was doing a good job in that regard. He loved Lula and Wyatt, and was working hard to be the man he knew he should be.
Many people here knew and loved Dean for all his faults. I being one of them. For all the fights he and I had, there was never a time I didn't love Dean like a brother. And I will miss him greatly. For those of you who believe in whatever higher power you choose, please offer prayers for Lula and Wyatt, and his older children and for Dean.

Lula is going to be getting me more info on any memorial service and such.

RIP Deano I love you, my brother.

My thoughts and prayers are with Lula and Wyatt and everyone close to him .

Round here, he could certainly make us laugh, and I appreciated that.

Really sad news.

Sad news indeed.
Never got to meet him ,but he was one of the best posters around here . This board wasnt really the same once he reduced his posting and never will be the same without him. I knew most of us did butt heads with him, but we also loved his colorful personality and what he always brought to the table.
RIP Deano, you will be missed.

I'm so sorry for all of Deano's friends and family. I know he was going through a really hard time and now his suffering is over and hopefully he has found peace.

Rest easy Deano.

Shame he did not make it to his beloved new Bruce album. :(

This is the worst news I've heard in a long time. I know he and I had some seriously heated debates on here, but I always liked him. I feel terrible for your loss Lulu, as well as Wyatt's. I will definitely be keeping you in my prayers, and Deano will definitely be missed around here. VERY shitty news... RIP Dean.

Having met Dean and hung out with him on a one on one basis, I can say Dean was not a bad person. The persona he put out for public consumption on these boards wasn't really what Dean was about. The guy had a good heart and was actually a bit shy, all things considered. I'm sure he has done bad things (haven't we all?) and people will be quick to air out those instances here but I can say that was not his dominant trait and the person that I talked to on occasion was just a normal guy who just happened to have a lot of demons (some brought on by himself) that he was constantly in battle with.

Well, those battles are over now. Rest in peace.

Sad to hear. I considered him a friend that I had never met until recently. Prayers to Lula, his family and loved ones.

I'm shattered. I've talked to Lula and will be making a statement shortly. I just need time to collect my thoughts. There will be no hate here. Dean deserves a peaceful send off.

I have never met Dean in person, but I can say that for all of the hard times he gave me about being a total Loon, he would PM me and say he was just pushing my buttons because it cracked him up - how I would get all "looned out" for Steve....... :(

I am in shock over this....

I dont think anyone hates(hated) Dean. Well maybe RobbieG. But even if someone hated the guy, they better let go of that . If someone truly hated him , then they didnt know Dean.
During the phone conversations I had with him, I could quickly tell the difference between Dean and RockinDeano. He had a big heart and was like Don said a bit shy. His online persona enjoyed pushing peoples buttons , using the right words and he never failed to give us some visuals (mostly super funny and sometimes a bit disgusting yet still funny)

Drewsky, I hope you plan on keeping all his posts here , cause some of the most classic comments ever made here (and on the internet for that matter) were typed by RockinDeano.

RIP bro....

Oh my god. I just saw Fu's song on Facebook with "For Dean" captioned and I was afraid to come check here because somehow I knew what that meant... I never got to meet Dean, but after so many years here... well you start to feel like they are a friend anyway.

To Lula and Wyatt... I'm so sorry. There are just no words.

I was sampling the Springsteen album last night thinking I really didn't care for it, but that Dean was sure going to love it. Damn.

How can you hate Dean? He was The Man. THE MAN. Pretty sure only Robbie G and Pitt (my God remember the Deano/Pitt brawls??) hated him. Maybe Reardon I don't know.

Maybe put a sticky on this topic for awhile, Drew? Just a suggestion. It seems wrong to post about seeing Wanderlust or the Oscars or something and have that pop to the top above this. Not when it's a member of the group. :(
