So the coroners found evidence of past cocaine use having caused Whitney to have a heart attack - even though she had a muscle relaxer and some xanax in her system - people are commenting on the article saying "Ive never heard of someone passing out from Cocaine in a tub"...READ THE FUCKING STORY - I really think this is symptomatic with anyone who over-reacts emotionally to a bit of news or information presented to them. They are not comprehending the context or information presented fully...And while I think this is an essential part of formulating an opinion, can we please keep the details or rant to a minimum (see also 'executive summary')...ANYWAY... I do not think she was on coke, and probably strayed away from that for sometime...but drinking and pills aren't much better. Just some thoughts.

No overreaction here, but what does this mean?

"Coroner's spokesman Craig Harvey says the results indicated Houston was a chronic cocaine user."

Cocaine can affect your heart years after you quit it. It has a damaging effect. We have known people personally who suffered heart attacks even long after they quit.

Two people my husband knew as a teen suffered a similar brain cancer. They had shared cocaine for years. What were the odds that two people who were friends dying of the same brain cancer?

This crap is dangerous and I never understand anyone wanting to use it.

Andy Gibb also died of a heart attack after quitting and trying to get his life on track.

People say Cocaine is cool I say only a fool messes with it. No high is worth risking your life over. :(

Well, my point was, it doesn't imply she had a mound of coke leading up to her death, that damage was done probably years ago...

No, apparently she was still using - this from TMZ.com:

"Sources connected to Whitney Houston who were with Whitney the day she died tell TMZ ... an individual removed all traces of cocaine from the room before authorities arrived.

The Coroner's Office says Whitney used cocaine "immediately prior to her collapse." Investigators who arrived on scene found no traces of cocaine or any other illegal substance.

One source who is extremely close to the situation tells us ... the individual who removed the cocaine was also the person who supplied it to Whitney."

That's bizzare, cleaned up ALL traces of coke and removed the bedsheets - that's some serious hit man skills...sounds like TMZ should report this person to the police

I'm not buying that at all. She didn't die from anything heart related. She drowned. Cocaine doesn't make people fall asleep in the bathtub, but the other legal drugs she was on do. I think she had been trying to kick her cocaine habit and took her prescription drugs and just fell asleep in the tub.

We will never really know, but that's what makes the most sense to me. I'm not going to take the news from a self-proclaimed cocaine dealer. If he is, his ass needs to be in prison. Just my thoughts.

cocaine stays in the system for a long time...only today did the report say it was in her system...

"Coroner's Chief of Operations Craig Harvey said cocaine and its byproducts were found in Houston's system, and the drug was listed as a contributing factor in her death"

I think it was the same thing when Jeff Porcaro passed...but whatever - there's no question the drug had contributed to her death, I just doubt that she was doing it at the time

I don't think cocaine and it's byproducts stay in someone's system THAT long... maybe several days? She was obviously still using.

What's more obvious to me was that her days were numbered back in '97 or whenever it was she started showing up on the tabloids smoking crack and looking completely disheveled - this went on for years. Surprised she lasted so long
