Steve Balsamo had this posted on his Facebook page. I cried when I watched it. I work in the long-term care industry and as a music lover it always made me sad that music was not made more a part of resident's daily lives. Often what music is played is not relevant to the age of the individual resident. I rarely hear big band music from the 40's, the great singers from the 30's 40's & 50's, old time country western, gospel music etc. Or the music played is not culturally relevant. Someday I may find myself in a living center, and it would be very sad to be deprived of the wonderful music that was and still is such an important part of my life.

There is no better stress relief for me than listening to good music.

That is too.

Perfect example: Every PSU student has to take a public speaking class to graduate and speaking in front of people terrifies me. On a speech day my nerves and stress level would be sky high and I would totally blow the speech. (took three tries to pass the class

) I discovered that 5 minutes alone with Rosy Palmer and Lexi Belle a couple hours beforehand solved the nerves and stress problem. Speech day got a lot easier and I aced every speech after that.
