I can remember watching him on the $25,000 pyramid in the 80s when I was little.

Dick Clark passed away, no more New Year's Eve. The world stops with 2012. Fuck you, Mayans.

"As a little boy I sat transfixed to our television every afternoon and Saturday night watching American Bandstand. Dick Clark was the face of rock and roll and it's best ambassador. His decades of successes both in and outside of the music industry are unparalleled. He championed KISS when others turned away and was instrumental in breaking us through his show "In Concert". Through the years Dick was always available when I had a question or wanted guidance. Dick Clark was the rare exception who was a bigger person in real life than the public image or legend that was also to be his legacy. I will remember him with great respect and gratitude." - Paul Stanley

Sad news. :( I remember watching American Bandstand regularly back in the day. Was the first time I ever heard of or saw a little known band (Bon Jovi) perform their first single Runaway back in the early 80s, long before Slippery....was a fan ever since.

And of course this band back in '83. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SgX-Wjzx28

LOL he does. His EMB drummer there is now in Tesla and his guitarist is in Y&T.

And I remember watching Bon Jovi on AB with a friend and we thought those guys were going to go somewhere, my brother was like.....yeah right. LOL then Slippery exploded a few years later, and the rest is histroy. :P  They performed Runaway and this one (one of my early favorites)........ He was a rich part of most of our teen years, for the 40's and older crowd. It wasn't Sat. afternoon without the countdown and his voice.
